Graph/Chart লেখার নিয়ম
যেভাবে Graph ও Chart এর উত্তর লিখতে হয়/বর্ণনা করতে হয়:
First Step: এই অংশে Introductory sentence লিখতে হয়। যেমন- The graph chart shows/ represents/ indicates/ highlights/provides/gives/compares etc দিয়ে শুরু করতে হয়।
Second Step: এই অংশে Graph/Chart-এর main trend (গতিধারা)-এর ওপর একটি general comment করতে হয়।
Third Step: এই অংশে অন্যান্য trends-এর বিস্তারিত বর্ণনা দিতে হবে। প্রয়োজনে trends-এর তুলনামূলক বর্ণনা তুলে ধরতে হবে।
Fourth Step: এই অংশে trends-এর মধ্যে প্রধান contrast গুলোর summarize করতে হবে।
Fifth Step: এই অংশে সামগ্রিক বিষয়বস্তুর ওপর একটি general conclusion লিখতে হয়।
একটি Graph/Chart-এর সাধারণত কয়েকটি বিষয় তুলে ধরতে হয়।
(a) Upward trend (ঊর্ধ্বগতি)
(b) Stability (স্থিরতা/অপরিবর্তিত অবস্থা)
(c) Downward trend (নিম্নগতি)
(d) Fluctuation (ওঠানামা/হ্রাসবৃদ্ধি)
(e) Highest trend (সর্বোচ্চ গতি)
(f) Lowest trend (সর্বনিম্ন গতি)
গ্রাফ/চার্ট-এর বর্ণনায় নিচের বিষয়গুলো অনুসরণ করা অত্যন্ত জরুরি—
১. বিস্তারিত বর্ণনা দেয়া থেকে বিরত থাকতে হবে।
২. বর্ণনায় মূল বৈশিষ্ট্য ও তথ্য ও উপাত্তের দিকে দৃষ্টি দিতে হবে।
৩. ধারণা বা অনুমাননির্ভর তথ্য সংযোজন করা যাবে না।
৪. তথ্য উপাত্ত যথাসম্ভব পরিস্কার ভাবে তুলে ধরতে হবে।
৫. Column, row, graph কিংবা chart এর তথ্য ও উপাত্তকে যথাসম্ভব তুলনামূলক বিশ্লেষণ আকারে তুলে ধরতে হবে।
৬. সর্বশেষে সম্ভব হলে সামগ্রিক বিষয়ের উপর মন্তব্য দিয়ে সমাপ্তি টানতে হবে।

The graph shows the number of internet users of Bangladesh in the year of 2012 to 2017. According to the graph/diagram, the lowest percent was in the year of 2012, and it was 50 %. The highest users were in the year of 2017 it was 80%. The graph shows that the internet users fluctuated around 50% to 80 % from the year 2012 to 2017. In 2012 the users were 50% and in 2013 the users were 60%.
During this period the users varied from 10 %. But, In the next year 2014, the users dropped to 55 % and it decreased 5% from 2013 to 2014. However, in 2015 and 2016 the percent did not change and it was 70 percent. Again, we notice that in the year of 2017, the users were recorded 80% that was the highest percent of the graph.
Thus, the graph shows the rise and fall of internet users of Bangladesh from 2012 to 2017.
