Eid-ul-Fitr is one of the prime religious festivals of the Muslims. This year I celebrated the Eid-ul-Fitr with due religious solemnity and purity.
In the morning of the Eid day we all got up early. After waking up in the morning, I took a bath and wore my new panjabi and payjama and started for the Eidgah with my father. When I went to the Eidgah, I saw a lot of Musallis standing in several rows to offer their Eid prayer.
I also stood in a row and offered my Eid prayer. At the end of the Eid prayer, I embraced my father and some of my local acquaintances and greeted them saying 'Eid Mubarak'. I got some money as 'Eid Salami' from my parents and my elder brothers and sisters.
I found my mother and sisters making various cakes and cooking delicious dishes of sweets and semoy in the morning of the Eid day. Many guests came to our residence and it took a festive look.
In the afternoon I went to an Eidmela of our locality with my cousins and had a lot of fun. Then I visited some of my relatives and returned home in the evening. Thus I celebrated the Eid-ul-Fitr this year.
