Information Technology Paragraph

Information technology means the studies or use of electronic equipments. It is a generic name given to all improvements that are taking place in our world due to the inter-linked advancement in technology, learning and information.

The term also refers to recent technological developments that are taking place in our world as a result of innovation and invention. It consists of a number of modern advancements such as computer, internet, e-mail, e-commerce, e- governance, video-conference, cellular phones, fax machines, smart cards , credit cards, ATM cards etc.

Information technology has a great significance in our life. It is used f or storing, protecting, processing, securing, transmitting, receiving, and retrieving information. In business establishments, it is used for solving mathematical and logical problems. Information technology helps in project 'management systems as well.

Students can have access to various learning resources through this technology. We can also communicate with other people through it. The world is in our hand now. However, this technology has not spread throughout our country. Only the people of big cities like Dhaka, Chattogram have properly utilised its advantage. The people of rural areas are still deprived of its benefit.

The main cause is the unavailability of network there. Also, the people are not educated enough to operate and utilise them. It is high time the government put emphasis on this problem.
