There is a proverb that ‘health is wealth.’ Actually good health is the most important thing for happiness. Good health refers to the physical and mental soundness which keeps us free from diseases and makes us fit and active.
Health is essential for all our activities of life whatever we may be a doctor, a leader, an artist , we must possess health by all means. However, it is not easy to maintain a good health . In order to keep in good health, we should follow certain rules of health.
Early rising is the first law of health. There is a well known proverb, “Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.” We should take physical exercise regularly, proper rest or sleep and above all, a balanced diet. Intoxicating drink and smoking should be avoided for good health.
It is a matter of regret that most of our people live below the poverty line and hence , they cannot manage all the foods necessary for maintaining good health. Even many rich and educated people of our is country are not conscious of the rules of good health.
Besides, the ever increasing problems of our day -to-day life are responsible for our poor health. They take away the peace of our mind and affect our health greatly.
We must remember that complicated life creates frustration, mental disorder, and socio economic confusions which result in poor health.
Actually, simple and care free life is the most important matter for sound health. So, we should abide by the necessary rules to enjoy a good health.

Good health means the soundness of body and mind. The body which is free from all sorts of diseases is considered to be healthy. It is the result of living in accordance with the natural laws, pertaining to the body, mind and environment.
These laws relate to fresh air, sunlight, balanced diet, regular exercise, rest, relaxation and sleep, cleanliness internal and external, right attitudes of mind, good habits and good patterns of living. One can keep good health by way of observing the rules of health, eating a balanced diet and living a disciplined life. But unfortunately, many people of our country do not get the food they need for good health.
While the rich and educated people of our country are conscious of the rules of health, the bulk majority of the common people are ignorant of them. They seem to have no sense of hygiene and sanitation. As a result, they suffer terribly because of their ill-health. Moreover, life has become complicated in this age of technology. And the complexities of life have an adverse impact on our health. Frozen and artificial rather than fresh and natural food make us fall prey to various serious ailments causing great damage to our health and happiness.
So, to keep in good health we need an environment which is free from air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution and menus pollution. I thoroughly believe in the fact that simple and carefree life is conducive to good health. Preservation of health should be the primary duty of mankind.

Good health means the soundness of body and mind. There is a wise saying that health is wealth. But to keep healthy we need to follow some rules.
First, we have to maintain the rules of taking food. All foods are not equally good. We should eat good foo. Good food means the right kind of food for health. It is nutritious and it contains natural substances, that our body needs to grow properly and stay healthy.
Secondly, we have to take exercise regularly. Young people can have a lot of exercise by taking part in games and sports. Elderly people can have physical exercise by walking or jogging. One must take exercise at least 30 minutes a day.
Thirdly, we should maintain the rules of hygiene. We have to take bath everyday. We have to wash our hands with soap before taking meals and after using the toilet. Also we have to brush our teeth twice daily- after breakfast and before going to bed.
Fourthly, we have to keep us stress free. For this we have to keep good relation with people. We have to pass some time doing things that we love very much. We have to laugh and smile a lot. Lastly, we have to have a sound sleep, drink plenty of water.
However, despite maintaining all these rules of health we have to consult a doctor if we fall sick. These are, in short, the best way to keep us health.
