অনুবাদ: একদা এক রাজা ছিলেন। রাজা জ্যোতিষীর কাছ থেকে তাঁর ভবিষ্যৎ জানতে আগ্রহী ছিলেন। একজন ভালো মানের জ্যোতিষী রাজার রাজধানী পরিদর্শনে এসেছিলেন। রাজা তাঁকে প্রাসাদে ডেকে পাঠালেন। জ্যোতিষী খুব অপ্রীতিকর কিছু বললেন। এতে রাজা রেগে গেলেন এবং তাঁকে মৃত্যুদণ্ড দিলেন। কিন্তু অন্য একটি চিন্তা তাঁর মাথায় আসায় তিনি জ্যোতিষীকে ফাঁসির মঞ্চ হতে সরিয়ে আনালেন। রাজা তারপর তাঁকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন তুমি কতদিন বাঁচতে চাও? তিনি তখন পালিয়ে বাঁচার জন্য কিছু সময় ভাবলেন। উপস্থিত বুদ্ধিতে তিনি বললেন, “তারাদের গতিবিধি বলছে আপনার মৃত্যুর ঠিক এক সপ্তাহ পূর্বে আমার মৃত্যু হবে।”
