Appropriate Preposition কাকে বলে?


যেসব Preposition বিশেষ বিশেষ Noun, Adjective ও Verb এর পর বসে নির্দিষ্ট অর্থ প্রকাশ করে, Preposition Appropriate Preposition বলে।

যেমন- Absent from, aim at, eligible for ইত্যাদি

1. Abide by (মেনে চলা): Everybody should abide by the rules of the state.
2. Abstain from (বিরত থাকা): We must abstain from bad habits.
3. According to (অনুসারে): Cut your coat according to your cloth.
4. Accustomed to (অভ্যস্ত): He is accustomed to rising earlier.
5. Ache for (আকুল): My heart aches for you./
6. Acquaint with (পরিচিতি): I am not acquainted with the gentleman.
7. Add to (বৃদ্ধি করা / বাড়িয়ে দেওয়া): My flower garden adds beauty to our house.
8. Addiction to (মন্দ কাজে আসক্তি): I don't have any addiction to smoking.
9. Adhere to (লেগে থাকা): One must adhere to one's ideology.
10. Adjust to (খাপ খাওয়ানো): I have gradually adjusted myself to town life.
11. Admit into/to (ভর্তি হওয়া): He was admitted into Dhaka College.
12. Agree to (কোন প্রস্তাবে রাজি হওয়া): He agreed to my proposal.
13. All on a sudden (হঠাৎ): All on a sudden they burst into tears.
14. Allover (সর্বত্র): Every year millions of people all over the world die as a result of pollution.
15. Allotted to (বন্টনকৃত): The profit was allotted to the directors.
16. Along with (তদতিরিক্ত): We have bought some native fruits along with grapes.

31. Burst into (কান্নায় ভেঙে পড়া): The poor lady burst into tears.
32. By dint of (বলেসাহায্যে/দ্বারা): He became successful by dint of hard labor.
